About the event

Join us for a special hands-on pysanky workshop at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church,  where art, tradition, and community come together in support of Ukraine. Rooted in ancient Ukrainian tradition, pysanky are intricately decorated eggs created using a wax-resist method.

Enjoy tea,Ukrainian desserts and candy as we delve into the folklore, stories and cultural significance of this delicate craft. These eggs have long symbolized hope, renewal, and protection, and their designs carry deep cultural and spiritual significance. Participants will not only learn the history and meaning behind pysanky but also experience the meditative and expressive process of writing in wax as it's been done for thousands of years. Each participant will leave with a beautifully decorated heirloom and the skills to continue this cherished tradition for years to come. Ages 18+. No experience necessary; anyone can create an original pysanka.

70% of every ticket will support a grassroots effort to provide medical supplies…
