About the event

Think you can only draw stick figures? This class may forever change the way you think about drawing.

Step into my home and artist’s sanctuary in Farmingdale, NJ, for an intimate drawing experience limited to just 8 participants. Just around the corner from Calgo Gardens and the Manasquan Reservoir, we’ll spend the morning learning in a cozy, chalet-style home filled with natural light.

Working from fresh flowers, fruit, and beautiful objects, participants will learn the timeless techniques artists use to create travel sketches and realistic tonal drawings. We’ll begin with pencil and the fundamentals of travel sketching and observational drawing, then build on those skills as we move into charcoal. More than a drawing class, it’s an introduction to the art of seeing—a skill that can be practiced anywhere and enjoyed for years to come.

This workshop regularly leaves participants surprised by what they are capable of creating in just one session.…
